Food banks and farmers’ markets are a great place to get your nutrient filled vegetables and fruit.  Click here for a list of food banks in Contra Costa County.

Currently, there are 19 certified farmers’ markets in the county.  A certified farmer’s market means that it is approved by the County Agricultural Commissioner.  This approval means that the vegetables and fruit you are purchasing are of high quality and also fresh.1 Listed below are the farmers’ markets in the county:

  • Alamo
    • Location: 3157 Danville Blvd. on Sundays from 9 AM to 1 PM, year round.
  • Brentwood
    • Location: 641 1st Street on Saturdays from 8 AM to 12 PM, year round.
  • Concord
    • Location: Todos Santos Plaza (2175 Willow Pass Rd., Concord, CA) on Tuesdays from 10 AM to 1 PM, year round & Thursdays from 4 PM to 8 PM, June – September.
  • Danville
    • Location: 205 Railroad Avenue on Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM, year round.
  • Discovery Bay
    • Location 5879 Marina Road on Sundays from 8 AM to 12 PM, from June to October.
  • El Cerrito
    • Location: El Cerrito Plaza (3060 El Cerrito Plaza, El Cerrito, CA) on Tuesdays from 9 AM to 1 PM & Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM, year round.
  • Kensington
    • Location: Colusa Circle on Sundays from 9 AM to 2 PM, year round
  • Martinez
    • Location: 700 Main Street on Sundays from 10 AM to 1 PM, year round
  • Moraga
    • Location: Moraga Center on Sundays from 9 AM to 1 PM, year round
  • Orinda
    • Location: Orinda Way on Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM, year round.
  • Pinole
    • Location 798 Fernandez Avenue on Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM, year round.
  • Richmond
    • Location: 24th Street and Barrett Avenue on Fridays from 7 AM to 5 PM, year round.
  • San Ramon
    • Location: Bishop Ranch on Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM, year round.
    • Location: 17011 Bollinger Canyon Road on Sundays from 8 AM to 12 PM, from June to October.
  • Walnut Creek
    • Location: N Wiget Lane and Mitchell Drive on Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM, year round.
    • Location: North Locust Street on Sundays from 9 AM to 1 PM, year round.
