Election day is right around the corner and takes place on November 8th, 2022. You can register to vote online and you can also check on your registration status by clicking here.
The deadline to register is October 24th, 2022. This deadline applies to both online registration and registration by mail. If you are registering to vote by mail, your form needs to be postmarked by October 24th, 2022*.
If you want to obtain a voter registration application in paper format, you can request one be mailed to you by calling (800) 345-VOTE(8683) or you can email the elections division staff here.
If you choose to register online, you will need your California driver license or your California identification number, your last four digits of your social security number, and your date of birth. If you do not have a California ID or license, you can still register online using the same website, you will just be asked to complete additional steps to register to vote.
