Providing Free Legal Services to Seniors Age 60+ in Contra Costa
For over 40 years, Contra Costa Senior Legal Services (“CCSLS”) has been dedicated to protecting the rights of older residents aged 60 and older in Contra Costa County. CCSLS provides free legal services that improve the quality of life for clients, assisting in such areas as preservation of housing, prevention of abuse, and planning for incapacity.

Our Services
CCSLS assists clients through advocacy, administering clinics, and providing education and outreach.
Advocacy
CCSLS attorneys advise and represent clients on critical issues such as eviction defense, elder abuse, consumer protection, and consumer debt. Special programs provide additional support to victims of abuse, residents of long-term care, and homeowners.
Clinics
CCSLS administers over 20 pro bono clinics across the County that provide short-term legal advice, simple wills, Advance Health Care Directives, and self-help support.
Education
CCSLS provides educational presentations to seniors on several important legal issues such as planning for incapacity, safeguarding assets and identity, and preventing and addressing elder abuse.
