The Tax Deadline for 2019 Taxes Is Now July 15
The Trump Administration is extending the tax filing deadline to July 15, 2020 for Tax Year 2019. This means Americans have more time to file and pay their taxes. This decision comes in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, with many Americans staying home.

With many tax aide centers closed, many seniors are worried about where they can find help to do their taxes. Even though Contra Costa County is under “Shelter in Place” orders, SparkPoint Contra Costa will continue to provide income tax assistance as it is considered an “essential service.” The service is on a drop-off basis only at the EASTBAY Works One-Stop Career Center at 4071 Port Chicago Hwy. in Concord. Please call 925-671-4597 to schedule your drop-off as a staff member will meet you in front of the building. Drop offs can be scheduled between 9:30 am and 12 pm Monday through Thursday.
